PARADE

The parade is leading by mounted camels reflecting the nomadic nature of the Saharawi people and is followed by each of the 7 Dairas of Dakhla’s Wilaya representing three tables of different manifestations of culture and traditional Saharawi life each one.

CAMEL RACE

The Camel race is along 1 mile, there three riders per district (Daira) plus a nomad who participates participate individually.

Rules are:

  • Male Traditional Clothes, Named Darra
  • Authentic Saddle and made by Sahrawi people
  • Healthy Camel with Good Physical Condition

First Three places are awarded.

LE FRIG, TRADITIONAL EXHIBITION OF SAHRAWI CULTURE

Frig is a camp, a set of tends during the nomadic life of Saharawi people, was the center of their activities, along FiSahara a Frig with several traditional tents will set into Dakhla, one for each Daira (municipality), and each was shows an aspect of the Saharawi life, such as:

  • Traditional Food
  • Apparel Manufacturing
  • Quranic School
  • Dance & Music
  • Traditional Games

This fair aims to disseminate among youth and visitors the roots of Sahrawi culture. This is a funny way to keep the transmission of traditional knowledge alive.

MASTERCLASS WITH ROKHSAREH GHAEMMAGHAMI

What happens when a filmmaker steps beyond her role as an observer and changes the course of her subject’s life? When she was filming Sonita, the story of an Afghan teenager who wants to be a rapper but whose family pressures her to marry back at home. This Master Class will explore the limits between filmmaker and story, between observer and actor.

EVENING EVENT IN DUNES

Each Edition there a Musical evening enlivened by Saharaui groups, this event is in dunes around Dakhla Camp.

FOOTBALL MATCH

Sahrawi team vs. Visiting team. You need sport shoes and clothes. Schedule and place will advertise in FiSahara Production Office. Registration is free in Information Office.

CLOSING CONCERT

Saturday night, a band or singer will close our Festival, FiSahara will say “see you later” to our  hosts. It will be end with a flourish of FiSahara.
