From April 28-May 3 you can travel from Madrid to the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf (Algeria) to participate in the 12th edition of the Western Sahara International Film Festival, which has been bringing film to the Sahrawi people for 12 years. You will travel with filmmakers, artists and the international team to the camps, where the Sahrawi people will welcome you and make you feel at home. You will live in a haima or desert tent with a Sahrawi family and watch films on a giant screen under a canopy of stars. Do not think further! Soak up Sahrawi culture and way of life and learn about the dramatic situation of the Sahrawi people, who have been under occupation for 40 years. By participating in a human rights film and cultural festival that seeks to raise international awareness on a forgotten conflict you will also help the Sahrawi people take one more step towards their freedom.
