After careful evaluation of recent recommendations made by world health authorities and in consultation with our medical team, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s edition from April to October.
The rapid evolution of the crisis generated by the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus and the uncertainty on what health policies and restrictions might be enacted in the next weeks, as well as the difficulty of flying people from all over the world into the Sahrawi refugee camps in these circumstances, have forced us to make these changes in order to avoid a last-minute cancellation.
We are aware of the impact that this decision will have, but our team continues to work towards the XVI Edition of FiSahara full of hope and determination.
We want to thank everyone who is contributing to make FiSahara 2020 happen: Our donors and partners, guests, filmmakers, collaborators, wonderful audiences and our fabulous team.
In brief we will announce our exact dates. For those of you who have signed up and paid, we will reimburse you fully unless you would like to keep your reservation for October. We are available to answer your questions through our email and social media.
