In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis and after having postponed the 16th edition of FiSahara until next October – dates still to be confirmed – we are excited to announce that in the coming weeks we will make a historical tour of the 16 editions of the festival that have taken place in the camps of refugees since the first was held in 2003.
During all these years, many people have passed who have worked very hard to bring this festival to the Sahara desert. For these almost two decades all of them have been united with the firm commitment to denounce through cinema the systematic violation of Human Rights suffered by the Saharawi people.
As we continue to prepare this year’s edition, it will be nice to remember all those editions resulting from the collective effort. It also serves as a tribute to those who were, are and will be there.
